The Wings Ceremony, during which officer ranks and pilot wings were awarded to the graduates of 190th pilot training course, was held today (Thursday) at the Israeli Air Force Museum in Hatzerim Airbase.

Today, 37 graduates are joining the ranks of the IAF's combat force. They will form the operational and strategic spearhead of the IDF and will lead the Israeli Air Force’s missions in the coming years.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the President of the State of Israel, Mr. Isaac Herzog, the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, the Commander of the Israeli Air Force, Major General Tomer Bar, additional commanders, and the families of the graduates.

The Wings Ceremony was held at the conclusion of three years of training for the cadets as combat officers, aircrew members, and academic degree graduates from Ben-Gurion University.
This ceremony was held against the backdrop of the conclusion of Operation "Rising Lion", during which the cadets gained operational experience as part of their training, while the Israeli Air Force played a central role in the determined effort to defend the State of Israel and achieve significant gains for national security. Now, with the operation completed, the graduates will join the Israeli Air Force and take part in the ongoing effort to maintain the IDF’s aerial superiority and in the preparation for future challenges.
