Transcription of the command order from the Commander of the Givati Brigade's Reconnaissance Unit, LTC Ziv, for the demolition of the building where the soldiers were killed:
I said this before the second entry; we have no choice.
You were there on October 7th; you will remember it every day. We have many killed and wounded in the unit, much to our regret. But that is not what will stop the Reconnaissance Unit.
To fight alongside you every day is a tremendous honor. I am proud of you and trust you.
