The names of five fallen soldiers whose families have been notified were cleared for publication
Attached are the names of the fallen soldiers:
- Major (Res.) Dan Maori, aged 43, from Beit Yitzhak-Sha'ar Hefer, deputy commander of the 89th Battalion, 8th Brigade, fell during combat in southern Lebanon.
- Captain (Res.) Alon Safrai, aged 28, from Jerusalem, a tank officer in the 89th Battalion, 8th Brigade, fell during combat in southern Lebanon.
- Warrant Officer (Res.) Omri Lotan, aged 47, from Bat Hefer a soldier in the 89th Battalion, 8th Brigade, fell during combat in southern Lebanon.
- Warrant Officer (Res.) Guy Idan, aged 51 from Shomrat, a soldier in the 89th Battalion, 8th Brigade, fell during combat in southern Lebanon.
- Master Sergeant (Res.) Tom Segal, aged 28, from Ein HaBesor, a soldier in the 89th Battalion, 8th Brigade, fell during combat in southern Lebanon.
