The 70th Combat Officers Course Graduation Ceremony
IDF: Today (Thursday), the Ground Forces Combat Officers Course concluded with a ceremony held in the IDF Officers’ Training School (“Bahad 1”) in Mitzpe Ramon. The ceremony was led by the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, and the Commanding Officer of the Ground Forces, MG Tamir Yadai, in the presence of Israel’s Prime Minister, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, and Israel’s Defense Minister, Mr. Yoav Gallant.
During the ceremony, 535 new officers were awarded their ranks. The ceremony takes place during an ongoing war, in which the cadets fought in various arenas before beginning the course. Some were injured and returned to combat, and some lost friends, commanders and soldiers.

The new officers are joining the IDF chain of command and will be integrated into key roles in combat units, commanding and leading the IDF forward in combat on all fronts.
